In his chief guest speech, Sadakat Hossain said, “Friendship is one of the greatest assets in a person’s life.”
“Right friends support you in every aspect of life, while the wrong friends can cause harm in your life. That is why from a young age, you must understand who to accept as a friend.
Similarly, at every stage of life, you must firmly say ‘no’ to bad deeds, drugs, misconduct, or any proposal of wrongdoing.
“You are the future of the nation. Our main goal is to ensure that you receive proper guidance so you can build yourselves on a beautiful and righteous path. Bashundhara Shuvosangho is always working to bring positive change to society and this effort will continue in the future,” he added.
Abdul Khalek Sarkar, founder and principal of Shishu Koli Pre-Cadet School, said in his speech, “It is essential to teach students from an early age how to choose the right friends.”
Apart from this, they need to learn to firmly say ‘no’ when faced with wrong or harmful proposals in various aspects of life, he said.
This discussion, organised by the Bashundhara Shuvosangho, will be useful for many of the students in real life, he added.
The students who joined the programme also share their experiences and opinions during the programme.
