Bashundhara Shuvosangho holds discussion in Gurudaspur

Bashundhara Shuvosangho’s Gurudaspur upazila branch organised a discussion meeting with its newly formed committee along with a palm seed plantation program on Saturday.

The event was held at the Shikkha Sangha Hall Room in Chanchkoir Bazar.

The meeting was presided over by the upazila branch President Md Golam Rabbani, and conducted by General Secretary Md Onik Sarkar. Members discussed future activities and organizational guidelines for the new committee.

Advisors Md Jalal Uddin Shukti, MM Ali Akkas, Masud Rana, and Nazmul Hasan were present, along with Vice Presidents Riyad Talukder and Shadhin Kabir Mehedi Hasan Joy, Joint General Secretaries Newaz Sharif, Rabbi Shah, and Shahriar Islam Samin, as well as other office bearers and executive members of the new committee.

Following the discussion, members carried out a palm seed plantation drive near the overbridge connecting road in Chanchkoir Bazar.

Speakers highlighted that Bashundhara Shuvosangho has long been engaged in social development and environmental protection, and the newly formed committee would further accelerate these initiatives.

They noted that Shuvosangho, a voluntary social organisation under Bashundhara Group, is actively involved in a wide range of activities including cleanliness campaigns, scholarships for underprivileged students, schools for street children, free distribution of sewing machines and vocational training, disaster relief, food and clothing distribution, free medical camps, agricultural support programs, and nationwide tree plantation drives.
