The Consulate General of Bangladesh in Milan celebrated International Migrants Day and National Expatriates Day 2024 with enthusiasm on Wednesday.

The day’s events included a discussion at the Consular Hall, chaired by Consul General Ambassador MJH Jabed, said a press release here this evening.

A special documentary highlighting the significance of the day was also screened during the session.

In his remarks, Ambassador Jabed extended congratulations to expatriate Bangladeshi nationals in Northern Italy.

He emphasised the interim government’s plans to enhance the welfare of expatriates and their families, urging expatriates to send remittances to Bangladesh through banking channels to support national development.

Special consular services, including one-on-one consultations, were provided during the event.

In collaboration with the Consulate, local remittance company Janata Exchange offered commission-free remittance services to expatriates.
