The teaser of Fuad Chowdhury-directed film “Meghna Konnya”, based on women trafficking, released on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
In the 1.7 minute teaser, the story of two women from different classes and places has been shown. Apart from the people of the dark world of the brothel, the teaser of “Meghna Konnya” also hints at the stories of urban women’s helplessness.
Actors Fazlur Rahman Babu, Shatabdi Wadud, Quazi Nawshaba Ahmed, Shemonti Das Shumi, Sajjad Hossain and others have played different roles in the film. Fahmidur Rahman and Ahmed Khan Hirok have jointly written the script of the film.
Produced by Anwar Azad Films and SJ Motion Pictures, the movie is co-produced by Switzerland. Deepto TV is the television partner of the film.
The film is slated to hit the country’s theatres on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
